It feels like only 5 minutes ago that 2019 started, you had your New Years Resolutions ready to go... then you blink and it’s already half way through January 2020... WHAT?!
Here are our 10 Life Hacks to get you kicking goals in 2020
1. START MEAL PLANNING
Do you even realise how much time you spend trying to decide what to have for dinner every day? How many of you have plans to lose weight this year? 🙋♀️. But no matter how hard you try, somehow your clean eating slips through your fingers.
MEAL PLAN 👏. It’s the answer to saving you time and calories.
Choose a day (we like Sunday) for planning your breakfast lunch and dinners for the week. You don’t need to spend the day slaving away in the kitchen (we all know life doesn’t always allow for that- especially for you busy mums out there), but having a rough idea of what you need to get at the supermarket and sticking to a good diet can be so much easier when you’re organised.
2. PUT THINGS AWAY STRAIGHT AWAY
No matter how hard I try, for some reason I always end up with paper work lying around or my clean laundry on the floor.
Include packing up as a part of each job you’re doing. It’s amazing how much a cluttered space clutters the mind
3. PACK YOUR BAGS THE NIGHT BEFORE
I don’t know about you, but no matter how early I get up in the morning, I’m always running late 🤦♀️.
Pack your work/ school/ gym bag for the next day before you go to bed (this includes choosing what clothes you’re going to wear the next day)
A massive tip for mums out there- getting a baby organised as you’re running out the door for work is hard enough- keep your baby bag stocked from every outing the second you get home. Replace used nappies, changes of clothes and snacks for your little one. ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER! - Thank me later 😘
4. KEEP A DIARY OF ALL CHORES/ MEETINGS & DATES IN PLAIN SIGHT
Does anyone else still have those old fashioned wall calendars in their houses? My grandmother really had something going with them!
WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING IN IT.
It really helps to know what you have coming up for the month, and if you life with kids, it’s a great help to know when you have a sports day you need to attend / any play dates they have coming up... not to mention it helps with meal planning! How many times have you sat down to a family dinner and it’s just you at home (I’m looking at mums with teens here!)
Save yourself time (and heartache) thanks to a calendar.
5. HAVE AN EASY SKIN CARE ROUTINE
Oh my goodness, sometimes I can not BELIEVE how many products people put on their face every morning! It is time consuming (and expensive), but skin care MUST. NOT. BE. FORGOTTEN!!!!!
An example of how to glow (quick and easy) in a week:
